This piece seems to have a mind of it's own. It has evolved and changed quite a bit, even in the last week. I finally feel it is just about finished....maybe.

"The Inevitable Rain" 10x12 Oil

Even though I haven't done half as much plein air painting as I used to, I still manage to get caught in the rain even in sunny southern California. Not surprising when the sky has all the light and drama I get excited about. I feel fortunate to be able to capture even a little part of it before returning to the shelter of the car.
