"A Sunday Afternoon" 8x10 Oil

400.

I have been trying to get outside and paint on location more these days. This is a recent plein air painting of the greenbelt that runs through town. Back in the day this used to be a train track with a regular visit from the train in the morning and afternoon. It was great fun to get a penny or heaven forbid, a nickel or dime and set it on the track and watch the train flatten it. A simple and wonderful time.

"Autumn's Last Stand" 20x16 Oil

 Sold

This scene is one of many I came across last November while visiting North Carolina. Although there were many trees with an abundance of leaves in the area, I was intrigued by the little delicate splashes of color that remained in this little corner of the world. I felt as if I was in the right place at just the right time.
