Besides a couple of recent events, I have enjoyed a little bit of time off these last few days. I did however, manage to complete and ship this piece for a competition in Mammoth Lakes, California. This painting is of a scene just south of Mammoth lakes near Mcgee Creek. This is an adjacent small creek I found while walking east from Hwy 395. The sun was just about to set over the Sierras and that usual Long Valley breeze was blowing. It's moments like these when I feel most blessed and trully alive with no other place I would rather be.
