"Storm Building" 7x5 Oil

On my way home from a recent trip to the eastern sierras, I thought of this painting. At the time, the clouds were not quite as dramatic as I have painted them and it was mostly overcast. The sun would come out for very brief moments to light up certain small areas of pasture and trees with a beautiful light. It was my hope to recreate this memory through this painting and perhaps a larger one.
