This painting was inspired by a recent trip to the High Sierras. When I arrived at this location near June Lake, it was cloudy and overcast with a bit of snow falling. I remained in the area long enough to have the sun come out for a short time but just long enough to be treated to aspens that were putting on a show with fall color.
