This scene caught my attention on a walk last summer in the high sierra. After dinner my wife and i took the pond loop, as it's known near Rock Creek Lodge. A short hike that takes you through forest and meadows around a small lake in the Eastern Sierra. As i checked to see if there were any trout in the water I became aware of a mayfly hatch and of course from a flyfishing perspective, it was an entertaining little display with an occasional mosquito interruption. It was a wonderful little bit of slowing down just enough to appreciate natures simple beauty.
This is gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing and warm greetings from Montreal, Canada.
