"Morning Fields" 6x8 pastel

While on an autumn painting trip in the eastern sierra, I awoke early enough to watch a storm develop over the mountains. I photographed enough of the area to compose this small piece. It is actually a study for a larger pastel I am currently finishing.  This scene is located just outside of the town of Bishop, California.
